Im currently in my final year training as a Deck Officer in the Merchant Navy. Not an obvious choice of career for someone who suffers with sea sickness but having tried everything from working in accounts to the operating theatre, I have finally worked out what I want to be when I grow up. An astronaut. The Merchant Navy will do for now though. I wouldnt say that I have a short attention span (regardless of what my family and friends say) but I believe in experiencing as much as possible in life. Im also a PADI Divemaster and plan to instruct one day. Somewhere sunny with good food and cheap beer. When not on or under the water I enjoy cycling, hiking, playing pool on my table at home, reading, knitting, cooking... the usual things. I have a tv in my home for the first time in years (it came as a package deal with a coffee machine, fish tank and flatmate...) and the novelty has worn off after only a few weeks. I do like a good movie though. As Im land-locked until January while I finish my training, it seems like the ideal time to see if theres someone out there who can add a little extra spice to my life. Maybe thats you?
