I recently moved to Newcastle from New York City. I was born and raised in Minnesota but my parents are from Hong Kong. I am super friendly and enjoy socialising/networking. I enjoy hosting dinner parties and game nights. I love life, traveling, exploring, and trying new things. I enjoy yoga, working out, baking, and spending time with friends. I also spend my time volunteering for a youth organization outside of my paid job as a social worker. The young people and I share the same passion for change in the foster care system and I just love it! I am very much a Type A personality and have aspirations for advancing in my career. One day, I would like to be the director of childrens services at a local council and work on changing policies to promote best outcomes for children, youth, and families. Aside from my passion for child and youth advocacy, I want to open my own bakery/coffee shop business one day. My family back in Minnesota runs a small restaurant business, and I loved working there when I was growing up. I still find myself helping out whenever I go home to visit. I like small businesses because I enjoy talking to regular customers and providing a relaxing environment. I absolutely LOVE my family and friends and they live all over the world (NYC, Washington D.C., St. Paul/Minneapolis (AKA Twin Cities), Ann Arbor, Tulsa, Senegal, Beijing, Bangkok, etc. etc. etc.). I make an effort to keep up with everyone. I spend at least 1 or 2 days per week dedicated to skyping/facebooking with them. Although I always feel I am behind and need to catch up with so many people.
