Hi, Im a 35 year old single Mum of one child aged 13(almost 14). Being a single parent has its ups & downs, thankfully, more ups! I have found parenting to be a big learning curve and it has given me new insight into myself as my child goes through the various developmental stages on her journey into adulthood. Parenting gives me a sense of achievement when it all comes together! After all, I have such an important reponsibility but its so enjoyable and fun a lot of the time with that :) I am a Teaching Assistant in a fantastic Secondary school in Hove and I like my job. My work fits nicely around my commitment to my child and Im lucky to get school holidays off (which believe me are well earned when you work in education)! My hobbies include film (either dvd or Cinema, walking along the beach-any beach (Im fortunate enough to live very close to the seaside),travel;when possible, cooking, eating in & out, I love all kinds of music including Hip-hop, Rock/metal, classical, indie, popular, blues, grunge and more. I aspire to work in psychology and as such I am currently an undergraduate student with the Open University studying for my BSc(Hons) Psychology. I am warm and empathic and have always wanted to help others wherever possible so a counselling/clinical psychology career is what Im aiming for in a few years time. My goal is to become as well qualified and skilled as possible in order to deliver a successful, effective and professional service. I am fun, caring, sociable, aimiable, fair, hardworking, open minded, down to earth and genuine and I would like the same from a partner.
